Gold prices closed at Rs 49,571 per ten grams a business day ago. According to Tapan Patel, the rise in gold on Tuesday limited the strength of the rupee. In early trade on Tuesday, it gained 11 paise against the dollar and was trading at a price of Rs 73.88 against a dollar.

Silver also saw rapid growth

On Tuesday, there was a slight rise in gold as well as silver in the Delhi bullion market. On December 29, there was a jump of Rs 36 per kg of silver in the capital Delhi. With this boom, the price of silver reached Rs 68,156 per kg. Silver had closed at a price of Rs 68,120 per kg a trading day ago.

Tinsel Gold also in International Market

Talking about the international market, there was a sharp trend in gold, while silver remained stable. In the international market, gold was trading today at a price of 1883 US Dollar (Rs 1,38,149.12) per ounce (1 kg = 35.3 ounces) while silver was trading at US $ 26.26 (Rs 1926.60) per ounce. According to Navneet Damani, Vice President (Commodities Research), Motilal Oswal Financial Services, the price of gold was on the upswing due to the fall in the dollar on Tuesday.
